Streaky Bacon is what Americans just call bacon. My wife and I were wondering what the British term for it was.

Bacon is different in the U.S., Canada and other parts of the world. American is what we call streaky and is sliced pork belly, Canadian is sliced pork loin and U.K. other parts of the world is a section of both.

Here in Canada, usually the circular ‘bacon’ is often specially referred to as ‘back bacon’ (or similar) - the prevalence of American bacon means that most people refer to that as regular bacon.
